Job description
JOB TITLE: Director of Kid’s Day Out Program
REQUIREMENTS: - Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or in lieu there of experience and understanding of administering a child care program.
- At least 2 years working with child care program for
preschoolers
- Checked by the
Child Abuse & Felony Abuse
- Member in good standing of recognized Christian Church
- Hold a current CPR and First Aid certificate
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
REPORTS TO: Children’s Ministry Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To maintain the day-to-day operation of the KDO program so that all children and families are provided with the necessary experience to empower their spiritual needs
SPECIFIC
DUTIES:
· Keeps accurate records necessary for licensing of KDO program.
· Assists with acquiring necessary supplies to meet daily needs of each classroom.
· Records daily attendance for billing purposes and for keeping proper child: teacher ratios.
· Maintains immunization records, health records, emergency information and other pertinent data on each child attending the KDO.
· Maintains staff attendance records, personal information and payroll information. Is responsible for maintaining program fiscal records, including managing checking account/savings account to record receipts and expenditures.
· Spends at least 1 hour daily in the classrooms to maintain personal contact with each child.
· Is available to substitute for any teacher or teacher assistant that needs to be absent.
· Supervises classroom staff to ensure proper safety and sanitation practices are used.
· Assists teachers in preparing craft items and ensuring each child is given his/her appropriate take-home items.
· Assists in preparing/serving daily snacks.
· Supervises playground (indoor or outdoor) times to ensure safety of each child.
· Ensures that classrooms/nursery are left in properly cleaned condition after each day’s session and especially before church activities are held.
· Other duties as requested by Children’s Ministry Director.
